Faux Septum Ring Close Up

FAUX SEPTUM RING DIY

A DIY INSPIRED BY MY FAVORITE SNAPCHAT FILTER

Who doesn’t love a good photo filter?! I certainly do, Friends!  From streaks to trophies Snapchat is a fun app that has captured the interest of hundreds of millions of users. I didn’t understand the “big deal” about Snap until I discovered the world of stories and filters.

We all have our go-to filter that we just can’t seem to get enough of. If you’re fortunate, you’ll get some great snaps with your favorite filter before they periodically update. So, here’s my current (and absolute) fave filter right now:

I love the softness, the glow, and the freckles are an added bonus! But, the dainty nose ring really solidified the look. Plus, I always wondered what I’d look like with a septum ring, and this filter confirmed that I had to have one. However, there are problems and problems are meant to be solved.

First, I’m way too attached to my wallet for this type of commitment. Piercings usually cost a minimum of $60 and I am just not ready to spend that now that I have great responsibilities. Second, (unlike myself) some have low pain tolerance and needle phobias. Third, it poses the risk of infection and honestly nobody has time for that.

SO HOW CAN I DIY THE FAUX SEPTUM RING LOOK?

Here’s what you need:

24 Gauge Beading Wire ( I have one justlike this )

Jewelry Tool Kit (This is the one that I have and I LOVE it!)

Last, a mini glue stick or crayon (something round and relatively small in circumference. But, it’ll make sense once you watch)

And that’s it! This super easy faux septum ring DIY is so easy that it literally only takes 2 minutes to make!

Don’t believe me? Just watch!
