Valentine’s Day Ideas

Hey Friends! I love that there’s a holiday for almost every month of a calendar year that is themed! January, of course, is the New Year; and February is all warm fuzzy feels for Valentine’s Day! Since love’s theme holiday is right around the corner, I want to share three awesome Valentine’s Day ideas for you to try! Valentine’s Day always sparks unique ideas that are original and creative! When I hear “Valentine’s Day,” I immediately think of flowers, heart shaped pizzas, cards, stuffed animals, and candy. They are all great picks and certainly not to be undermined. Blowing Kisses Candy Bag Idea

This cute and simple Valentine craft certainly says it all! All you need are a few items to make this one of a kind Valentine greeting! Grab some jumbo popsicle sticks, snack bags, cardstock or construction paper, gum balls, and Hershey’s Kisses to make this unique gesture!

Hugging Animal Valentine’s for the Classroom

I came across these super cute “animal huggers” while browsing Pinterest and they were a hit for my preschoolers’ classroom parties! You can download the creator’s template or SVG file (if you have a die cut machine) for FREE and make them in any color you choose! There are four cute little animal files she provides: a cuddly monkey, super cute tiger, snuggly bunny, and an adorable bear! My preschoolers picked the bunny and the tiger to give to their classmates! The creator suggests using glue dots to hold the “hug” in place, which is perfect! This is the perfect project for kids to participate it and they will have a grand time making these for their friends! If you don’t feel like cutting out all of these cute animals, you have to try the next idea instead!

3D Illusion Valentines

Easy as 1,2,3! Take your babe’s photo holding an invisible “stick-like” object in front of them (see below). Then print them at home or send it over to your local one-hour photo. Cut a small slit with an Xacto Knife above and below the hand and slip a sweet treat right in there! You can use pens, pencils, lollipops (if allowed…because allergies), or glow sticks like we did! It only took an hour to make (plus one hour to wait for them to be printed)!

Elbow Heart Patches Valentine’s Day Idea

Don’t know what to wear? Upcycle a plain old sweater with some adorable elbow heart patches! You don’t even need a machine for this project either! All you need is a sweater, some heat transfer vinyl , and an iron! Simply cut out two heart shapes, place them on the elbows on the back of each sleeve, and iron according to the heat transfer instructions! How cute is that?!
