Hi, I’m Ashley Madison! No, not that Ashley Madison but it makes a great ice breaker in a conversation!
Contrary to the aforementioned namesake I am a faithful wife, a stay at home mother of three, and a lover of all things DIY! In my spare time I love to knit, sew, and decorate cakes. I also love to make graphic t-shirts, party favors, and have recently taken a deep interest in photography.
Like most busy parents, I am often asked how I “do it all.” so I began this blog to document the crazy busy lifestyle of a stay at home wife & mother of small children and to share awesome ways to conquer life’s lemons. Join me and let’s make lemonade!
A little more about me
We decided to be a one income family shortly after our second child was born. Childcare costs exceeded my salary, and we felt that it was best for me to stay at home with our littles. Let me tell it, it was the best decision we’ve ever made. Through all of the challenges we faced, being a one income family has allowed us to fully nurture our children to the best of our ability. Don’t get me wrong, I totally commend all working parents to balance their work/home life so well. But we did what was best for our family.
We endured many setbacks, sacrifices, and an insurmountable load of backlash but we didn’t allow it to affect us. Because of this, I wanted to create a small place in the infinite web that is open-minded and unbiased for others like myself. My favorite blog posts are ones where I feel like the author and I share common similarities, but embrace all differences. My goal is to provide (for lack of a better word) frugal yet fancy ideas that will inspire the inner craftsperson in all of us, to create impactful connections with readers which will, in turn, break through boundaries and find meaning in every journey, big or small.
