Photography
Photography is such an amazing art, but can feel so intimidating compared to all of the different artists and their amazing grasp of concept. Equipment is so pricy, a ticket that most like myself (one income household of five) are not willing to invest in at first. Over time, I have collected equipment at my own pace and watched my skills improve with every piece. Still intimidating, yes but I’ve managed so far to “fake it ’til I make it.”
It sounds cliche and a little off-putting to someone who may be interested in photography as a career, but it’s more of a hobby for me. It’s a great field for expression and the arts (which I love) but I enjoy my raw, amateur, look for now. I’m still exploring style and personal touch, but love the warm inviting feel of newborn photography. I’ve not taken any classes or received any certification (yet) so I rely mostly on research and youtube.
