For a handy spur of the moment type of memory, I whip out the trusty phone in portrait mode and snap away before the moment blows away like the wind. Here are a couple of my favorite phone photos:
However, all of these images are a result of my Nikon D3200 in manual mode with the standard 18-55mm lens. It comes in an awesome red color and standard black. See the link below for details and a great price! The best part is that these photos required minimal to no editing! The D3200 (or the present comparable model) is a great choice for beginners. It comes with a guide mode that automatically adjusts the settings for you. Understanding exposure and aperture are the most confusing, but will come naturally with tons of practice, trial, and error.
